Writer, Creative Director, and
Reluctant Perimenopause Expert
Alex has been writing for 30 years and enduring perimenopause for approximately 3 years, but who knows, it might have been longer.
Alex Furrer is a writer, adjunct professor, and advertising creative director who has studied how midlife women actually want brands to talk to them (spoiler: with TMI and honesty). She writes about perimenopause because laughing is better than crying, and because we need to keep saying the uncomfortable things out loud.
Where The F&ck Did All My Best Qualities Go? began as a viral Medium essay that tried to explain the drastic and compounding changes that she was experiencing during puberty 2.0. Following that success, Alex transformed it into a book and hopes it helps those going through it laugh and know they’re not alone.
